Free chocolate

3/24/22- Today we woke up in Madeira and went to a little supermarket near our hotel for breakfast. As pennance for our reliance in going on a hike that day my mom bought us chocolate to eat along the way. We then made the drive up the side of a mountain to a hike that was supposed to be really pretty. The higher we went on the mountain the worse the weather got. Once we reached the top there were hurricane like winds and rain that felt like little pebbles being thrown at you. We decided we should probably not risk getting out and trying to hike so we drove back down the mountain. No need to worry though the chocolate did not go to waste, we shared it as we drove around the beautiful island making stops at different viewpoints. Maderia is so pretty, I highly reccomend making the trip here if youre in portugal. Our final stop was at a tidepool swimming pool crossover. The waves were huge and we watched as group after group made their way onto a platform only to be hit by an especially big wave. After the tidepools we found an Indian restaurant that we ranked as one of our favorite dinners so far on our trip.
