No, we don't drink tea

2/28/22-Our first stop was in Morocco where within the first day we lost a waterbottle, sunglasses, and got our drone taken away. Despite these troubles in the airport we continued on into Marrakesh with our driver Abdul. He took us to our quaint bed and breakfast/hotel where we took our remaining luggage and promptly fell asleep. 2/29/22- At 8:00 after eating a homeade breakfast we met up with our tour guide, Joued. Joued took us to the old emporers palace called the Bahia Palace where the french prime minister stayed during their occupency in Morocco. The walls in Moroccan houses are very thick and the doors are low so that it stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The palace was adorned with tiles made from natural materials like indigo, saffron, and cobalt. Mia was even given a little tile heart carved by a worker. After the palace we went into the souq (big bazaars) and saw all different kinds of products ranging from spices to cooked sheep heads. In one store we were given a tour on what the different spices were and how they helped you. Mia and I were given little pots of rouge and we bought some menthol and different kinds of parfumes. It is standard custom here to offer green or black tea when you visit many stores, houses, hotels, and etc. We get a range of answers and faces when we tell the people we dont drink tea. After walking thorugh the markets we went and got lunch at a stand, we opted out of the sheep head and settled on just eating the lamb meat. When we finished lunch we continued through the souq into the metal and leather district where we learned the process of making leather products takes over 2 months! Joued dropped us off at our hotel where we then met up with Abdul who drove us to the Yves St. Laurent garden, Jardin Majorelle. The garden had walls painted bright blue that proved great for pictures. After the garden we went and got dinner at a restaurent where we were served dinner in Tagines, authentic Moroccan dishes.
